Jake is the Founder & CEO of The Basic Software Company. Jake created SwiftCall (for people making cold calls), SwiftDocs (for esigning and marking up documents), and SwiftCard (a flashcard maker app). SwiftCall has made it to the Top 10 Business Apps and the Top 200 Education Apps on the App Store.

SafeWater Flint
In January 2016, Jake used his coding talents to invent a free app called SafeWater Flint in response to the Flint Water Crises. The crises had led to the people of Flint having poisoned water, and so Jake designed the app to provide a list of all the water stations, recycling centers, and counseling services that were created in the area. He earned a character award for his work.
SafeWater Flint was featured on MLive.com, Fox17, the Detroit Free Press, and the Holland Sentinel.
